The official EDAR8 Conference website (hosted by SAAFE CRC) is the one and only trusted source for information, registration and transactions for the EDAR8 conference.
We are working with our professional conference organiser, Carillon Conference Management Pty Ltd (CCM), of Brisbane, Australia to deliver the conference. CCM is the only organisation authorised to process EDAR8 registrations, payments and accommodation reservations. EDAR8 is not working with any other travel company, on-line accommodation provider or marketing agency.
Post-EDAR8 Residential Workshop | 8-10 August
Extend your EDAR8 experience on Quandamooka Country with an immersive post-conference residency on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), one of the world’s largest sand islands. Minjerribah is reached by ferry and is renowned for its sweeping beaches, freshwater lakes, and abundant wildlife. The island holds deep cultural significance for the Quandamooka people who are the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands and waters around Moreton Bay, located to the east of Brisbane.
Hosted at the Moreton Bay Research Station, this “on-country” workshop offers a chance to connect deeply with place and community. Participants will take part in a half-day guided cultural tour and wildlife experience that showcases the island’s unique ecosystems, as well as seminar and workshop group learning. The program also explores meaningful parallels between AMR and First Nations knowledge systems, enriching your understanding of resilience, stewardship, and One Health interconnectedness.
The residency offers low-cost shared accommodations, group travel and meals. Pricing will be released soon. In the meantime, please indicate your interest in the workshop on the registration portal (indicating your interest does not commit you to attend the workshop).
