Gala Dinner

The EDAR8 Conference Gala Dinner on Tuesday 4th August will be held at the iconic Brisbane City Hall, with catering by Epicure.

Iconic Venue: Brisbane City Hall

An evening designed to bring together delegates from across research, industry, policy and regulation, the Gala Dinner will provide an opportunity to connect and celebrate in one of Brisbane’s most recognised heritage landmarks.

With its main entrance directly facing King George Square, Brisbane City Hall is a beacon of Brisbane’s history and culture. Opened in 1930, the heritage listed building is Italian Renaissance in style and represents a combination of the Roman Pantheon and St Marks Campanile in Venice.

Brisbane’s tallest building for decades, Brisbane City Hall has been the venue for Royal receptions, diplomatic events, orchestral performances, and pageants. At its centre lies the Auditorium, based on the design of Rome’s Pantheon, and boasting the largest copper dome in the southern hemisphere featuring a pipe organ with 4,391 pipes, built in Liverpool in 1891.

The evening will feature a relaxed social atmosphere interspersed with light entertainment, providing delegates with the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and build new connections.

Gala Dinner tickets are available as an optional add-on during conference registration.
