2025 AMR Research Roadshow
SAAFE AMR Research Roadshows are now underway, taking the team across Australia to connect directly with partners, researchers and emerging collaborators.
The roadshows have three key aims: to meet with partners who are unable to travel, to hear directly from researchers at our major institutions, and to induct newly contracted researchers, particularly around new policies such as the Publications Policy and updated governance requirements.
Each stop on the tour features a mix of tailored sessions designed to strengthen collaboration and impact. Attendees take part in practical workshops on working with industry, milestone reporting and impact delivery, while industry partners and members are invited to showcase SAAFE research and explore new opportunities for engagement.
A highlight of the events has been the professional development sessions led by SAAFE Scholars. These interactive sessions cover essential research skills such as study design, sampling, data quality and systems thinking, equipping participants with practical tools to enhance their projects.
With 20 to 40 participants at our Queensland and NSW events, the strong turnout reflects the growing momentum and shared commitment to advancing AMR research across disciplines and sectors.
“The roadshows have been a fantastic opportunity to connect face-to-face with our research teams and partners across the country,” said SAAFE Research Director Professor Erica Donner.
“There’s a real sense of energy and collaboration in every session, people are sharing ideas, solving problems together and building new connections that will help strengthen SAAFE’s research outcomes well into the future.”
The roadshows are a powerful reminder of what makes the SAAFE community unique - collaboration, capability-building and a shared drive to turn research into real-world impact.
