Ozone Nanobubbles
Water reuse is a practical way to reduce carbon emissions and develop a reliable water supply that is not dependent on rainfall.
Project Title
Ozone nanobubbles to control microbial regrowth and antimicrobial resistance.
Context/Challenge
Water reuse is a practical way to reduce carbon emissions and develop a reliable water supply that is not dependent on rainfall. Water reuse application for potable purposes is currently restricted by the presence of persistent pathogens and microbial regrowth in water.
This PhD project will examine the efficiency of ozone nanobubbles for controlling microbial regrowth and antimicrobial resistance in comparison to conventional technologies such as chlorination and UV disinfection.
