PART 2 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm MAPPING YOUR RESEARCH NETWORK: BUILDING CONNECTIONS FOR COLLABORATION AND IMPACT

Like complex microbial consortia, our success as researchers is shaped by the networks we are part of. Every interaction, relationship and collaboration plays a unique role in supporting growth, knowledge exchange and innovation. This interactive workshop will explore how ECRs can map their professional networks to better understand their connectedness, identify relationships to nurture, strengthen or reconsider, and strategically build networks that support their career goals.

Drawing parallels between microbial co-occurrence networks and human collaboration networks, participants will explore the value of diverse connections, the importance of bridging across sectors, and how transdisciplinary engagement can drive impactful research. Through practical activities and reflection, ECRs will identify opportunities to expand their networks, foster meaningful collaborations, and leverage relationships to enhance their research and career pathways.
